Privacy Policy

VR Viewer for Insta360 (the “App”) is published by Alexey Plekhanov (a private individual). This policy explains what data the App handles. In short: the App has no servers, accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking, and we do not collect or receive any personal data from you.

1. Data we collect

We (the developer) collect no personal data. The App does not create accounts, does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not send your data to us or to any server we operate (we operate none).

2. Data stored on your device

To work offline and load faster, the App stores the following locally on your headset only:

Transcoded / cached copies of videos you have opened.
A history of public share links you have opened (link, title, thumbnail, last-opened time).
Your app settings (language, cache limit).

This data never leaves your device through us. You can delete it at any time inside the App (Settings → Clear cache, and the ✕ / “Clear all” controls in the cloud history).

3. Network requests & third parties

Insta360 / Arashi Vision: when you open a public Insta360 share link, the App requests that public content directly from Insta360’s servers. Such requests are subject to Insta360’s own privacy practices. The App only accesses links you choose to open.
Meta: the App uses the Meta Platform entitlement check to verify your purchase or trial. This license check is processed by Meta and is subject to Meta’s privacy policy. We do not receive your Meta account details.

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.

4. Device permissions

USB: to read videos from a connected Insta360 camera. We only read media files; we never modify or delete them.
Internet: to open public cloud share links and to verify your license.
Camera (optional): only used if you scan a share-card QR code. Camera frames are processed on-device to read the code and are never stored or transmitted.

5. Children

The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change accordingly.
